Parent Program FAQ
How does the parent program work?
The Safe and Sober parent program uses a video presentation that is about 25 minutes long. The video features stories from real Missouri parents and families. The video may be shown at parent orientation meetings, or parent-teacher conferences. School administrations may also use it at PTA meetings or it can be posted on a parent portal page online.
What does it cost?
NOTHING! Thanks to support from generous sponsors and a Missouri Department of Transportation grant, this program is offered for free to all Missouri parents of students in schools that have registered for the 2018-2019 school year.
Is there a separate registration for the parent program?
No, the parent program is provided to all of the middle/junior high or high schools that sign up for the 2018-2019 school year. The parent program is a perfect supplement to the education that students receive from the Safe and Sober program at school.
When can my school use the program?
The parent program is available for use at any point during the 2018-2019 school year. This program is optional, but it is highly recommended that every parent at your school has the opportunity to watch the video.
Do you have any other resources that I can use for the parents at my school?
Yes! Visit our parent website at www.safeandsoberparents.com. We have testimonials, quizzes, a parent pledge, video content and more that you can share with the parents at your school.
